• Vortex Filtration Units (VFU) are designed to provide side stream proactive removal of suspended solids from both heating & chilled water systems.
• The unit provides continuous filtration without back washing or the use of aggressive chemicals. The unit is typically single phase & incorporates pump, control panel, water separator & purge vessel. 3 phase versions are available.
• Flow is drained from the system via the unit circulation pump which creates significant velocity to generate a vortex within the separator. The solids settle within the separator and are purged into the purge vessel while the clean water is returned to the system.
• N.B. These units are also available for hire.

• Designed to provide a simple and economical solution for the introduction of liquid chemicals to both heating & chilled water systems.
• Dosing Pots are wall mounted with an optional floor mounting stand.
• There are 3 dosing pot sizes available:- 5,10 & 15 litre
• Dosing pot kit comprises a flow ball valve, return ball valve, fill assembly tundish, non-return valve & isolating ball valve, vent ¼” ball valve & 1 drain ball valve.

Designed for gases released from system water upon heating or pressure drop.

The low velocity through the dirt & air separator micro bubbles concentrate within the chamber, where they are extracted via an automatic air-vent.

For dirt elimination the unit should be installed low in the system, the low velocity through the chamber allows the dirt to concentrate and fall to the bottom of the unit, where it can be flushed away via the strain valve.

Available from 2” – 18” flanged connections BS 4504 PN16. Plain ends ands other flange ratings available on request.

A standard range of flanged flexible connections is available as either BS 4505 PN6 or PN16 from 1¼” – 6”. Either tied or untied – pressure & application dependant. Suitable for both chilled & LTHW applications. Generally used to isolate noise and vibration from plant such as pumps or chillers.

Twin sphere union rubber flexibles available 1”,1¼”, 1½” & 2” with either galvanised or stainless steel unions.

Potable water grade WRAS approved flexibles are also available.

Alternate flange drillings available upon request.

Designed to operate at a max temp of 110oC. Standard sizes ½”, ¾”, 1”, 1¼”, 1½” & 2”. Standard end fittings - swivel female & fixed male. A range of optional end fittings are available upon request – including compression, push-fit & standpipe.

WRAS listed float switches for installation within potable/wholesome water break tanks usually for high & low level alarm/pump protection or on/off operation of supply pumps. Available with 10m & 20m cable lengths as standard. Supplied as a complete tank top fitting kit c/w gland & base. Model LR07

A full range of fixed air charge vessels is carried in stock from 3 litre to 1000 litre.

Standard range are 10 bar rated and with a 99oC max temp rating.

Steel shell with either Butyl or EPDM rubber diaphragms c/w stainless steel connection.

For use as heating & chilled water sealed systems or as secondary hot water expansion vessels for mains feed or boosted hot water generation.

Available from 3-12 litre as pipeline standard mounted. Available from 24 – 300 litre as horizontal or wall mounted versions. Available from 50 – 1000 litre as vertical floor mounted versions.

N.B. Expansion vessels should always be installed with a Lock Shield isolating valve & drain to allow the vessel to be fully drained before setting the air charge.

We recommend annual servicing/refitting the vessel air charge.
